For the price, the DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker seems to have a whole bunch of happy customers.  People are happy with the speed in which it heats up; you can be brewing coffee within about a minute or so of hitting the on switch.  Plus the decent sized water reservoir means you can serve up 8-10 espresso shots before you need to refill.

The machine is solid and reliable, with controls that don’t take a college degree in computer programming to understand.  People especially like the fact that the beans are only ground when needed and it seems the taste experience mirrors this.  It’s also easy to clean, with the descaling program very handy to ensure that the guts of the machine, which you can’t see also remain sparkling clean as well.  


Being a super-automatic, it means that those who don’t have extensive barista skills can easily begin to learn how to make the perfect espresso (or cappuccino or latte).  Once you become more experienced there are ways to tweak and adjust to get your coffee exactly the way you want it.
