The Mr Coffee ECMP50 Espresso/Cappuccino Maker is the newly upgraded version of this machine and they’ve made some very welcome changes which all add to its desirability.  It’s easy to fill the water tank due to a change in design and this new model heats up really fast.  They’ve also increased the clearance under the brew basket, so now a regular coffee mug fits nicely – a welcome change.


There’s a few negatives which pop up with some regularity in the reviews, the main one being that it doesn’t come with a milk frothing pitcher.  But most people then back this up by saying that it’s not really a big deal.  The fact that this bottom end machine produces coffee far superior than some of its heftier priced cousins is the main reason for purchasing.  Do your homework, read the instructions and you’ll never have a need to go to a Starbucks again.  When it comes down to it, it seems that the Mr Coffee ECMP50 Espresso/Cappuccino Maker rocks!
